Food Drive Kit Now Available
Parents know that helping children find ways to care, share, and take positive steps to help others is a key component of providing an education for life, and faith for living. In November 2005, Catholic, Lutheran, and Christian Schools International schools in west Michigan collaborated in a pilot program, the "Faith in Action Food Drive." Over 14,000 students from 52 MANS member schools collected 26 tons of non-perishable food items for area food banks. Publicity included radio, television, billboards and more.
The "Faith in Action Food Drive Kit" contains guidelines, a timeline, and tools for having a successful food drive in your area. MANS administrators may log in to the MANS website and download this valuable marketing resource. Talk to your school principal about making the kit available to you and/or your parent organization.
